I realize this forum is usually reserved for the bigger tractors, but I need some advise on what is considered fair or good price.

JD 325 w/18 HP (only has 30 hours of use)
44" snow thrower
48" cutting deck - never used
chains and weights
10 cu ft trailer

What is a good price for this package - owner is asking $6400

The Board may focus on compact tractors, but there's plenty discussion about garden tractors, riding mowers, and small engine equipment. I believe that all congenial equipment and country living questions and comments are welcome here. Having said all that, it's too bad I can't help with the question. My excuse for generally staying away from price discussions is that my exposure to prices is Canadian prices, which of course have little relationship to U.S. prices. ....

Taken care of, they do hold their value. Have you checked with a dealer on a new machine? The price for a comparable new machine may not be that much more than what your looking at. ....

I just traded up to an '03 GX325. I paid $5749 which was the end of season clearance price. Could have done better outright but it's a poor time of year to try to peddle a used lawn tractor. Was given a price of $6249 by another dealer. He told me to go with the lower price. Apparently he felt that he had cut it to the bone. Basically I paid sticker and got a free 48" plow. ....
